Reduce blowing horn on the road please
Today, I want to express and write on those people in India who are blowing horn unnecessarily just like that.
The another reason of writing on this topic of Noise Pollution aiming to raise awereness of the effects of noise on the welfare and health of the people.
Because Noise Pollution effects people in many ways like road rages as I have seen but only deafness and annoyance receive actual interest from the general people.
There are lots of reasons which creates noise pollution but I am specifically concerned of Unnecessary honking by the vehicle owners in the busy traffic.
Here in India, Such people are honking just like that to get wider space on the road for themselves.
In India, Under saction 21 of Rules of the Road Regulations 1989, formed under the section 188 of the Indian Motor Vehicle Act, In point of Fact, A vehicle driver shouldn't blow the horn unnecessarily or continuously. The only real legal use of a "Car Horn" is in related to safety.
If you see someone you know, is driving slower than you guess, It's illegal technically to blow your horn could result in a fine. but I have not seen a single case of it, who have been fined for blowing horn unnecessarily by traffic police.
People are blowing the horn knowingly or unknowingly just like that sometimes.
or they may feel that they are the most busiest person in the world. By blowing the horn unnecessarily shows their rude attitude and impatience.
I have seen many times while i stuck in traffic and I can see, there's no way to drive the vehicle smoothly, and most of vehicles are also stucked in traffic, for all, they starts blowing horn continuously as they are blind and can't see the traffic situations. It's like they can't wait even few seconds and making the noise polution.
In this fast generation, everybody are in haste, but never reach their decided location on time. They should starts early then they guess of reaching their targeted location but no one do so. and in the results, they are in haste and making noise pollution by blowing horn unnecessarily sometimes.
Yesterday, I was driving to my office and there was a man pulling a cart full of luggage just ahead of me. it was a narrow road that I couldn't overtake, so I was just behind him driving my bike slowly, thinking that let him go first, but very soon, other vehicles starts blowing the horn continuously as they are dumb and blind, specially the car owners.
If you are in densely populated area and blowing the horn continuously is considered as a dumb or rude behaviour.
Let me ask a simple question to you that what are you supposed to do when another drivers blows the horn at you?
In few other countries, blowing the horn unnecessarily, can fine you. but here in India rules are there, but no fines by the traffic police.
Here in India, Rule 5A (1) of the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000, states that there can be no blowing horn in silence zones or at night in residential areas except during a public emergency. Rule 23 of the Motor Vehicles (Driving) Regulations, 2017, prohibits unnecessary use of horn. but there also, Such a dumbs are do so and never heard of a single case of fine on it.
Today we are all well educated and civilized, still we get annoyed if we have to wait for few minutes in the traffic.
So I guess that few dumb people require a special education on the traffic sense! so that we can decrease the noise pollution.
When I was in UAE for 2 years, Inspite of huge traffic, I never heard unnecessary honkings. may be just because of strict implementation of the traffic rules and regulations, people are afraid of fines.
This type of strict rules and fines makes people more disciplined.
While in India, there are rules but not the strict implementation and these, causes noise pollution.
We feel, we think, unnecessarily honking is just trivial matter but it is very import. There's a special campaign globally, was founded in 1996 called International Noise Awareness Day, which is on 27th April every year. But hardly people may know it.
This is just my view on honking unnecessarily and its annoying. Do you feel the same? If yes, you can comment your opinion.

I read the above article and got some knowledge from your article which is about Book 7 Temporary Traffic Control It's actually great and useful data for us. Thanks for sharing it.
